In an interview with eTrueSports, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman offered these helpful marketing suggestions to the struggling PGA's Tim Finchem.

11. Find more guys with unpronounceable names

10. Reduce hole size, fans don’t like scoring
 
 9. Encourage hip checking during fairway strolls
 
 8. Use green golf balls, it’s too easy to follow the white ones
 
 7. Encourage galleries to throw octopi on putting surfaces

I've got it! How about if Finchem teaches their golfers to be real human beings like, say, hockey players. On the average PGA green there are more ****heels than in the entire NHL.

  • Responding to a tidal flow of fan protests over the "boring and stupid" New Meadowlands Stadium name, New Jersey officials announced the facility will be called "East Rutherford Just Off The Jersey Turnpike Field."
