Popular Players in the NFL in 2023

The NFL season is really heating up now, and the best teams are pulling away from the pack in a bid to secure the best playoff spots and home advantage. There will be lots of ups and downs before the postseason begins, of course, but the first real moves are now being made.

If you are thinking of placing a bet on Super Bowl online sites, then you may already have your ideas about which of the top teams will be going up against each other in Las Vegas next February. Football is obviously a team game, but it really does help if your team has a star player.

Some of the names on our list of top performers are virtually ever-present, as some players consistently stand out from the crowd. But there are others that are just breaking through and making a name for themselves. They are the ones to really keep an eye on as the football progresses to its Super Bowl Sunday.

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs

He has been one of the biggest names – and personalities – in the NFL for the last few years as his Kansas City Chiefs team has won the Super Bowl and become a postseason regular. But it is fair to say that Travis Kelce has become known to a whole new demographic this season. That will happen when you are rumored to be dating Taylor Swift.

Probably the best tight end in football; if the Chiefs do end up winning the Super Bowl again this season, a lot of the reason will be because of Kelce. He missed the first game but has been ever-present for the rest of the games so far. He is currently averaging almost a touchdown a game and always seems to be able to pick up receiving yards. Having an almost telepathic relationship with Patrick Mahomes probably doesn’t hurt.

A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are looking good for the NFC East once again and are many people’s pick as a Super Bowl winner this season. They have one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league, but this year, there is another wide receiver target to help win games.

A.J. Brown was traded from the Titans as they brought in a replacement in his mold – but Tennessee may have moved too early on that one. Brown is one of the most dependable wide receivers in the NFL and soon got into his stride in Kelly Green, posting 125+ yards in almost every game. If he can start claiming a few more touchdowns as well, he could make Philly a real threat this year.

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

The Bills have not been quite as advertised this season so far, losing a few more games than would have been expected from a Super Bowl favorite. But Josh Allen can, at least, say that he has done his job. He has managed at least one touchdown pass in every single game at the time of writing and will be the main reason why the Bills win a Super Bowl if that is to finally be the case.

Losing games against divisional rivals will not have been in the script for Buffalo, but if the team can steady the ship in the remaining weeks of the regular season, it should still be one of the main contenders for the AFC crown. Allen has the arm and dedication to be the QB that finally brings a championship to upstate New York, and he is up there with Mahomes and Hurts as the best in the league.

Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers boast an offense bursting with talent but still look to McCaffrey a lot of the time when they need something special. He almost always delivers, and the four-touchdown haul he posted against the Cardinals in week four put the rest of the league on notice for a potential San Francisco Super Bowl win this season.

It is no surprise that McCaffrey leads the league in rushing yards, but the differential is that he is also right up there with receiving yards as well. Any defense that lines up against McCaffrey knows that it is in for a tough day at the office. The Niners are tipped by a lot of people to go all the way this year and should be one of the top teams in the NFC.

Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons

There is no guarantee of a successful NFL career after being a big hit at college. But Bijan Robinson is showing exactly why the Atlanta Falcons took him as the eighth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft after he set the NCAA game alight while at Texas. Playing for a weaker pro team can also be a hindrance – but not one that Robinson seems to be experiencing quite yet.

Robinson’s rookie season is already looking to be a success, and his receiving ability is also paying dividends for a Falcons offense that could take the team to the NFC South divisional title. If Robinson can stay injury-free for the rest of the season, he will definitely give the team an extra edge that hasn’t been there in recent seasons. Being able to identify a new talent and then seeing it come to fruition in the NFL has to be one of the most enjoyable aspects of the life of a football fan.
