Path of Exile 2 Early Access is live and a pretty awesome game! There are many fun and exciting things here, like quests, mapping, and various endgame systems. However, you might struggle to find enough currency unlike in PoE 1.
If you want information on how to spend PoE 2 currency, you’ve come to the right place! Here are some practical tips:
Sell Items Early On
In the first couple of acts in PoE 2 Early Access, you must sell almost all the gear you’ve obtained during your journey rather than disenchant them for shards. Why? Doing so will give you enough gold to buy better equipment from the vendors.
Gold is a non-tradable resource. It drops by defeating monsters, but you can also earn some money by selling gear, including weapons, armor, and runes, among many others.
The only time you can stop selling items to vendors is if you already have some relatively good gear and don’t need to buy stuff from NPCs anymore.
Disenchant Rare Items
Rare items in Path of Exile 2 are those that have yellow-colored text. These things have six different modifiers that make them stand out. That said, disenchanting rares give you Regal Shards. Collect 10 of these, and it will automatically turn into a Regal Orb—an essential PoE 2 currency for crafting.
The Regal Orb is handy when you are not in Cruel Difficulty yet. That is because this particular PoE 2 currency item can turn a magic item (blue) into a rare (yellow) with three modifier
With how scarce good items are in the campaign’s early stages, the Regal Orb helps provide you with serviceable equipment at the beginning.
Flipping Gear for Profit
Okay, so you now have enough gold with you, what should you do next? Collect any items of magic rarity with modifiers you think are great for any Path of Exile 2 build. Next, use a Regal Orb to transform it into a rare item. If the outcome results in another great mod, then follow that up with an Exalted Orb.
The Exalted Orb can be used three times on a rare item created with a Regal Orb. If the modifiers that pop up are fantastic, you can then sell the item for a profit.
You will need at least one premium stash tab to put items up for sale, though. Fortunately, GGG sells stash tabs at a discounted rate every three weeks, so wait until the sale occurs before making the purchase.
Follow a Build Guide
You might think this is completely unrelated to a guide about PoE 2 currency tips, but that is not true. In this game, you can refund your passive skills points using gold. Just speak to The Hooded One; he will give you the skill points you previously allocated for a fee.
Despite the adjustments GGG has made regarding this matter, respecting skill points still costs quite a lot of gold, particularly at higher levels. Following a build guide is helpful because you know exactly which passive skills to take to maximize your character’s potential—all without spending points needlessly.
While it’s nice to experiment with various passive skill combinations, we don’t recommend it unless you know exactly what you’re doing.
Purchase Gear from Trade
Exalted Orb is the primary currency for trading in Path of Exile 2. You can use the said currency item to craft your gear. However, crafting items in this game involves a lot of RNG, so you’ll typically get trash items unless you are lucky.
Using the Exalted Orb to purchase items from other players is wiser because you take out the guesswork for already established items. You can tinker with the various filters on the trade website so that you’re shown only the items you need.
Now, items on the trade website cost an absurd amount of Exalted Orbs. This is true if the piece of gear you are looking at has some very good modifiers.
If you want to obtain that item but lack the resources, you can purchase PoE 2 currency in our current store! We provide you with the best deals and discounted bundles you cannot find anywhere else. So, what are you waiting for?
