As we look towards 2025, the world of sports continues to produce a huge range of different stars, expected to make waves and break through into their respective sports. There are several American sports stars who are poised to be the next generation of superstars, and some already recognise their potential throughout their sports! Through basketball, Tennis and American Football, there is a huge range of impressive American talent ready to rise through the ranks!

The experts of sportsbook promos at ProfitDuel have taken a dive across a wide range of sports, finding some of the very best American talent that could be worth keeping your eye on throughout 2025.

Cade Cunningham – Basketball

Playing for the Detroit Pistons at Point Guard, Cade Cunningham is already playing at a star level throughout the NBA, which is expected as he was the No.1 overall pick in 2021. However, he is expected to take his abilities further as he is only 23.

Expected to be a cornerstone for the Detroit Pistons, his basketball IQ, court vision, and ability to score make him one of the best players in the league, and with plenty of room to grow, 2025 could be his year!

By the end of 2025, Cunningham could very well be an NBA All-Star and a key figure throughout the league, making him a worthy name to watch out for throughout the sport of basketball!

Darwin Blanch – Tennis

Blanch is an American 6ft 3in leftie and has been dubbed as the ‘Next Big Thing’ for quite a while; however, at the time of writing, he is only 17! With a career-high ATP ranking of No. 892 achieved in September of 2024, Darwin Blanch still has a long way to go! However, as we have seen in the sport of tennis before, it does not take long for young guns to begin firing, with sensations such as Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic being great examples.

Being able to reach the boys’ semifinals of both the French Open and Wimbledon at age 15, Blanch is tipped to carry on developing and soon be a force within Men’s tennis. He has already played against some of the world’s best talents, as he was beaten by Nadal in the Madrid Open and was defeated in straight sets by Tomas Machac in Miami.

An interesting fact about Darwin Blanch is that he is the favourite hitting partner of multiple Grand Slam winner Carlos Alcaraz, meaning Darwin is already practising with some of the best in the world of tennis.

Bryce Young – American Football

Despite being the first overall pick by the Panthers in the 2023 NFL Draft, Bryce Young still has his best years ahead of him at the age of 23. He is one of the most exciting young quarterbacks in the NFL and is known for his exceptional playmaking ability and leadership.

His 2021 season whilst in college was incredibly impressive, earning him the Heisman Trophy, which is awarded to the best player in college football. He was also awarded the SEC Offensive Player of the Year whilst he led Alabama to the National Championship Game appearance. With 8,000 passing yards, 79 touchdowns and 12 interceptions at Alabama, he earned his spot on the NFL roster.

As we look ahead to 2025, Bryce Young is expected to continue his growth as a quarterback and a leader for the Carolina Panthers, as he has all the tools to become one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL in a few years. By 2025, he could be in the conversation for Pro Bowl Selections and leading his team to the NFL Playoffs.

Chloe Kim – Snowboarding

Born in Long Beach, California, Chloe Kim is already a huge name throughout the Winter Olympics as she was able to win a gold medal at the age of 17 at the PyeongChang Olympics.

However, she is only expected to develop further throughout her career as she looks to compete in more World Cup events, Winter X games and the Winter Olympics that take place in 2026.

Being the youngest woman ever to win an Olympic snowboarding gold, she is known for her unmatched talent, personality and dominant performances despite being at a young age. She was the first woman to land a 1080 during a competition, a move that put her ahead of the competition and made her a global snowboarding icon.

As we look into 2025, the Winter Olympics may not be this year, yet she is still able to compete in World Cup events and Winter X Games, giving her plenty of opportunity to further establish herself as one of the most impressive American athletes around. Chloe Kim is already being considered a future Hall-of-Famer and is expected to continue breaking barriers in snowboarding for years to come.
