Introduction
Genshin Impact 3.2 is the new version of the popular open-world action role-playing game. You can explore Teyvat, unlock new characters, weapons and skills.
The update brings two new characters. Plus, there are quality-of-life changes and bug fixes. The most important is Childe (also known as Tartaglia). He is a 5-star archer character that you can get from Act III’s Story Quest.
Childe can wield an energy bow or a claymore. His elemental skill shoots arrows from his weapon at enemies. His burst creates a powerful shockwave that has area-of-effect damage. There are also three constellation levels for Childe. These give him bonus effects for his skills and bursts. In short, Childe is a powerful addition to Genshin Impact 3.2!
Overview of Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game. Developed by miHoYo, it was released in 2020. Players take on the roles of characters and explore the world of Teyvat. They battle monsters and uncover secrets about the world’s history.
Each character has a unique fighting style, elemental skill set and elemental reaction system. This provides new tactical options in battles. As well as fighting and exploring, players can engage in side activities like cooking and fishing for rewards. Plus, co-op gameplay allows multiple players to join forces and complete objectives.

What’s new in Genshin Impact 3.2?
Genshin Impact 3.2 is the newest major update for the popular game. It brings a lot of exciting new features and content. Yoimiya banner stands out, featuring 5-star characters Childe, Ganyu, and Xinyan, as well as two 4-star characters Klee and Sucrose. Plus, new weapons! Thundersoother Claymore, Naryu’s Sword, and Solar Pearl Crescent Blade.
QoL (Quality-of-Life) updates make playing the game much better. Easier ways to track character progress and a more intuitive Friends system in coop mode. Also bug fixes to improve game stability.

New Characters
Genshin Impact 3.2 brings players loads of new content! Two new characters have been added: Yanfei and Chongyun. Yanfei uses a staff and has Pyro Element abilities. She can both target one enemy, and damage multiple enemies at once. Chongyun is an Anemo user with a claymore. He can fly and help his allies first. Both characters have special passive talents that make them great for any team composition.
Genshin Impact 3.2 also has:
- A new Spiral Abyss domain.
- Artifacts from past domains.
- A Hangout Event with favorite characters.

Childe
Childe is a four-star Anemo-type character in Genshin Impact 3.2. He has an Outlaw attack and can switch between sword and bow mid-combat. His elemental skill, Tartaglia’s Thousand cuts, clears all enemies and gives a shield and stamina regeneration. His elemental burst, Havoc: Obliteration, creates a shockwave to damage foes.
Childe is expected to become an incredibly powerful character due to his range of attacks and strong defenses. He is also known for his high DPS damage output. Don’t miss your chance to get him!
Zhongli
Zhongli is a five-star Electro character in Genshin Impact version 3.2. He was released on February 3rd, 2021. His special ability is ‘Diluc’s Trial’. It creates a shield around him and reduces damage by 50%.
His Elemental Burst ‘Dominus Lapidis’ summons Stone Pillars. These deal AoE Geo damage to enemies and reduce their physical resistance for 8 seconds.
Zhongli can be used for DPS or support. He is good for early game DPS with Venti or Fischl. He can also provide shields and reduce enemy resistance. When playing in teams, he is an invaluable asset.
Yanfei
Yanfei is one of the new characters in Genshin Impact 3.2 update. She is a Pyro character with five stars and can deal Pyro and Physical damage. Her abilities make her a powerful support.
Her elemental ability reduces incoming damage and buffs nearby allies with bonus attack speed, physical and elemental resistance. Yanfei also has chargeable Overload abilities that give bonus healing and Pyro damage. These two sets of skills give her defensive and offensive advantages in battles.
Xinyan
Xinyan is a Pyro character with five stars featured in Genshin Impact’s 3.2 update. She is from Liyue Harbor and loves to rock! She cranks up the heat with her Pyro energy and guitar to damage enemies. Her charged attack ultimates are great for AoE.
- Pryo Smash is Xinyan’s first ability; it deals big burst damage to groups of foes and casts a shield that blocks all incoming AoEs for a few seconds. This makes her very tough in combat.
- Rage Rock is Xinyan’s second ability; it does massive AoE Pyro DMG. Plus, if an enemy has an elemental status effect like Burn or Overloaded, Xinyan gets a 10% ATK bonus for 9 seconds.
New Weapons
The Genshin Impact 3.2 update just launched! It brings lots of new weapons for players to make their dream teams with. Bows, staves, swords and catalysts are some of the choices. Each has its own stats, effects, and potential for improvement.
The five-star Child of the Spiral Abyss weapons are the stars of the update. They have different elemental damage types like Anemo (wind), Geo (earth), Pyro (fire), and Cryo (ice). They are powerful when used with a character’s skills. Refining them with Shards or Artifact EXP Materials makes them even stronger.
Childe’s Aquila Favonia
Childe’s Aquila Favonia is Hu Tao’s active ability in Genshin Impact 3.2. You can unlock it at level 30. It gives an attack power increase and a powerful explosion for an area attack.
To activate it, Hu Tao needs to consume an Anemo elemental burst (any element works). When active, she gets five seconds of invincibility and 845% Atk DMG. Plus, 436% AoE Atk DMG on all nearby enemies.
Hu Tao also receives 50% physical damage reduction while the ability is active. This allows her to take less damage during heavy battles. Therefore, she can unleash her true potential as a solid DPS hero.
Zhongli’s Serpent Spine
Zhongli’s Serpent Spine is a limited-time event banner in Genshin Impact. It brings Childe (Tartaglia), Fischl, Qiqi, and Venti for you! Childe is a 5-star, Qiqi and Venti are 4-star, and Zhongli is 3-star. The drop rate of Childe is 0.6% and Zhongli has the highest drop rate with 0.9%. That means there’s a 1/111 chance to get Zhongli.
But you can increase that chance further! Use Starglitter & Starglow Wish Simulators to see which character has the highest probability of being drawn. After the banners end, you can buy Childe’s Ascension Materials from the shop.
Yanfei’s Pyro Regisvine
Genshin Impact 3.2 features Yanfei’s Pyro Regisvine as the final world quest in the “Child of the Storm” arc.
Players must help Yanfei investigate strange Pyro Regisvine behavior.
Four tasks must be completed:
- Collect materials from Fire Dandelions.
- Activate Pyro Sigils.
- Date with Anemo Archon to clear obstacles.
- Take down the Pyro Regisvine.
Rewards like Primogems and experience points await completion within the allotted time!
Xinyan’s Lion’s Roar
Xinyan’s Lion’s Roar is a reward from Genshin Impact 3.2. Complete the “Child of Yuheng” questline to get it. It’s a two-handed sword that deals Claymore type damage. Any character can use it, no matter their weapon type.
Every element comes with its own attack bonus:
- Physical bonus: increases ATK.
- Anemo bonus: boosts movement & attack speed for 4 secs after physical attacks.
- Geo bonus: increases CRIT Rate for 6 secs after Geo attacks.
- Pyro bonus: increases ATK for 6 secs after Pyro attacks.
- Cryo bonus: increases Elemental Mastery for 4 secs after Cryo attacks.
Xinyan’s Lion’s Roar is a powerful tool. Do massive damage and get buffs!
New Events
Genshin Impact 3.2 brings lots of new stuff! Introducing the Child of the Valley (Xiao), five Story Quests to learn more about them, and Midsummer Island Adventure Event furnishing. Windblume Festival
Genshin Impact 3.2’s main event is the Windblume Festival. It takes place in Teyvat’s Mondstadt region. Players must complete tasks and puzzles to get rewards, like Festive Tour Tickets. These can be used to buy exclusive items from Windblume Fete vendors. Plus, there’s more: minigames for even more rewards!
The Windblume Festival also lets players experience the characters’ stories. While at Mondstadt, explore and embark on new adventures too!
Windblume Ode
Genshin Impact’s 3.2 limited-time event, Windblume Ode, is coming February 3rd, 2021. It’s about Barbara and her lost friend, Childe. Players try to figure out what happened to Childe. To do this, they must collect Windblume Odes from Teyvat and its islands.
Puzzles like riddles and gauntlets have to be solved. Challenges must be completed to get Wishing pieces. With enough pieces, rewards like Windblume festival recipes, bonus wishes, and a four-star character from the Free Elementary category are earned. All players will enjoy this event’s fun challenges!
Windblume Troupe
The Windblume Festival is in Mondstadt! Marie from the Windblume Troupe will be your guide. You can join in minigames and puzzles, collect Windblume Ode tokens for rewards, and choose dialogue to get exclusive rewards. Meet new characters like Bennett, Albedo and Fischl!
On top of that, you’ll get Primogems, Adventure Rank exp and more! Plus, don’t miss out on the unique items available only during the event!
