Professional Dota player Taiga (In the Peak 200 in Europe) Played Match-Fixing in 2022-2023

Shortly after announcing his retirement from competitive gaming and his transition to a streaming career on Kick, Tommy “Taiga” Le has returned to competitive Dota 2, now playing for a South American team. However, today’s investigation has unveiled troubling accusations of match-fixing during his tenure with OG. After Melbet registration, you will be able to place bets on Dota games, as well as on other sports (e-sports or real).

Victim Or Perpetrator? Perhaps Taiga Was Forced To Break The Rules

The revelation, brought to light by Dota 2 content creator Morph, depicts a player caught up in gaming addiction and deceit. According to the report, Taiga’s troubles began post-The International 11 in 2022 when he allegedly became involved with a group of Russian match-fixers known as the “322 mafia.” It’s reported that this group lured Taiga in with betting accounts and money, further entrenching him in debt.

In a bid to settle his gaming debts, Taiga initially suggested leveraging insider knowledge for in-game bets. However, the mafia purportedly proposed an alternative scheme: manipulating “clean” games during DreamLeague 19 in 2023, featuring Taiga’s then-team, OG.

This alleged plan involved making aggressive early-game moves for first blood and “over/under” bets without directly fixing matches. Moreover, the video alleges that Taiga leaked drafts and insider information under threat of blackmail.

Although unwilling to throw matches directly, Taiga reportedly agreed to partake in some dubious plays, including a particularly glaring first blood against Beastcoast.

Taiga’s Team (OG) Conducted An Internal Investigation

The report highlights Taiga’s efforts to sever ties with the mafia, yet struggles with lingering debts and threats persisted. Meanwhile, OG expressed concerns to tournament organizers ESL and Valve following initial rumors in 2023. Despite lacking concrete evidence at the time, Taiga continued to compete, albeit spending some time on the bench while OG conducted an internal investigation. Tournament rulings at the time forced OG to reinstate Taiga to prevent disqualification from the Dota Pro Circuit.

Today’s exposé significantly strengthens the case against Taiga. Despite OG’s initial neutrality due to insufficient evidence, the new revelations compelled them to denounce Taiga’s actions.

On April 5, 2024, OG issued an official statement on their X (Twitter) account. In the statement, OG outlined the processes undertaken by the organization during the investigation into the allegations against Taiga. Despite their initial neutrality, OG reassured fans that they will always “stand for integrity in competition.”

Despite The Adversity, Taiga Returned To The Game In Another Region With Bleed Esports For The 2024 Season

Towards the end of 2023, it emerged that despite setbacks and a somewhat tarnished reputation, Taiga remained passionate about competitive Dota 2.

He made a comeback onto the scene in a different region, joining Bleed Esports for the 2024 season. However, his return was short-lived, as he announced his retirement in February 2024.

Taiga parted ways with Bleed after a string of poor performances in December 2023, leaving him teamless since then. While departing from Dota 2 usually marks a significant milestone, Taiga’s new career direction overshadowed this decision. He disclosed his plans to transition into a full-time streamer on platforms like Twitch and Kick, the latter known for its streams featuring gambling games.
